AHAcktitude

Members of the artivism mailing list AHA meet in Milan November 
27th, 28th, 29th at Centro Sociale Il Cantiere 

AHA : Activism-Hacking-
Artivism, is a mailing list born in 2002 within the AHA project, established in 
2001 by Tatiana Bazzichelli, aka T_Bazz. AHA promotes networking, that is the 
net cultures, mainly the ones which link art practices to social and political 
activism (“artivism„). 

Artists-activists, art hackers, social-artistic 
activist, call them as you like. The 600 members of the mailing list AHA are 
only a fraction of the people who know – in Italy and all over the world – that 
the medium is not only the message, but even the massage and the mixing. They 
know well that complaining about TV is not enough, and not even chattering 
about alternate communication: experiences are needed, because a  communication 
without bodies communicates only pre-packed messages, and a body without 
intelligence can only be manipulated.

So, since last year, AHA's membres 
periodically meet, every time in a different town. They meet to open up black 
boxes, to take down devices of technology, of communication and of imagination, 
to deconstruct official knowlege and to build a new, shared one, to work on 
collective intelligence, the one of the bodies and not the one of capitalism, 
to broaden the resistance to the globalization of corporations, and to the 
economici and political power.

AHAcktitude will be three days of activity and 
activism, of gaiety and community, of study and fun. Technology, music, 
internet, literature, telecommunications, marketing, social networks: 
everything will be characterized by open source and sharing. Different, but 
communicating ways to explore, to interpret, to act our conditions of 
technologically modified beings,

Because human beings are more important than 
goods, and we'll not stop until the life of owners will be worth more than the 
one of persons with no properties.
