The answer to this question is usually left for corporations to formulate, but in this workshop you will be introduced to an innovative and accessible tool for user-driven web archiving, with which data can be both collectively shared and stored by individuals. Participants will receive a quick overview of key web archiving concepts and the Webrecorder tool, an open-source project developed by Rhizome at the New Museum (<a href="https://www.newmuseum.org/" class="">https://www.newmuseum.org/</a>) , New York. Unlike previous, crawler-based web archiving systems, Webrecorder excels at capturing dynamic web content and social media feeds. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Centre for the Study of the Networked Image at London South Bank University and her research is a collaboration with Rhizome, the leading international born-digital art organization based in New York. Lozanas research work with CSNI and Rhizome aims to address questions relating to accessibility, performativity and user interaction/participation in the context of the archive of internet art. Lozana holds a BFA in Studio Art from Adelphi University, New York (US), and an MA from the Department of Typography and Graphic Communication at the University of Reading (UK). Lozana is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Reading.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Labor Neunzehn</div><div class="">Labor Neunzehn is an artist-run space in Berlin engaged in multidisciplinary discourse, which involves expanded cinema, music composition, publishing, and critical reflection in media art. Recent work includes "All Sources Are Broken” (<a href="http://www.allsourcesarebroken.net/" class="">http://www.allsourcesarebroken.net/</a>) – an internet-based project that investigates the hypertext space in post-digital books, links obsolescence and creative re-archival practices – the exhibition From Field Recording to Data Sonification in Late Capitalism, the daily film screenings exhibit Beyond the Surface, and the concert series Cluster, focused on contemporary notation.
