osservare<BR>che in Grecia è ancora in vigore la coscrizione e che riguarda
tutti i<BR>greci maschi; la maggior parte o forse anche tutte le persone che
firmano<BR>questo sono legati al popolo che al momento stanno servendo nel
servizio<BR>militare obbligatorio - non reclute dell'esercito]. Soldati ai
quali, a<BR>Hania, è stato ordinato di opporsi a studenti universitari,
lavoratori e<BR>combattenti del movimento antimilitarista portando le nostre
armi<BR>e poco tempo fa. [Soldati] che portano il peso delle riforme e
della<BR>"preparazione" dell'esercito greco. [Soldati che] vivono tutti i
giorni<BR>attraverso l'oppressione ideologica del militarismo, del
nazionalismo dello<BR>sfruttamento non retribuito e della sottomissione ai
"[nostri] superiori".<BR>Nei campi dell'esercito [nei quali serviamo],
sentiamo di un altro<BR>"incidente isolato": la morte, provocata dall'arma di
un poliziotto, di un<BR>quindicenne di nome Alexis. Sentiamo di lui negli
slogan portati sopra le<BR>mura esterne del campo come un tuono lontano. Non
sono stati chiamati<BR>incidenti anche la morte di tre nostri colleghi in
agosto? Non è stata<BR>pure chiamata un incidente isolato la morte di ciascuno
dei 42 soldati che<BR>sono morti negli ultimi tre anni e mezzo? Sentiamo che
Atene, Thessalonica<BR>ed un sempre crescente numero di città in Grecia sono
diventate campi di<BR>agitazione sociale, campi dove viene recitato fino in
fondo il risentimento<BR>di migliaia di giovani, di lavoratori e di
disoccupati. Vestiti con<BR>uniformi dell'esercito ed "abbigliamento da
lavoro", facendo la guardia al<BR>campo o correndo per commissioni, facendo i
servitori dei "superiori", ci<BR>troviamo ancora lì [in quegli stessi campi].
Abbiamo vissuto, come<BR>studenti universitari, come lavoratori e come
disperatamente disoccupati,<BR>le loro "pentole d'argilla", i "ritorni di
fiamma accidentali", i<BR>"proiettili deviati", la disperazione della
precarietà, dello<BR>sfruttamento, dei licenziamenti e dei procedimenti
giudiziari. Ascoltiamo i<BR>mormorii e le insinuazioni degli ufficiali
dell'esercito, ascoltiamo le<BR>minacce del governo, rese pubbliche,
sull'imposizione dello "stato<BR>d'allarme". Sappiamo molto bene cosa ciò
significhi. Viviamo attraverso<BR>l'intensificazione [del lavoro], aumentate
mansioni [dell'esercito],<BR>condizioni estreme con un dito sul grilletto.
Ieri ci è stato ordinato di<BR>stare attenti e di "tenere gli occhi
aperti".<BR>Ci chiediamo: A CHI CI AVETE ORDINATO DI STARE ATTENTI?<BR>Oggi ci
è stato ordinato di stare pronti ed in<BR>allarme. Ci chiediamo? VERSO CHI
DOVREMMO STARE IN ALLARME?<BR>Ci avete ordinato di stare pronti a far
osservare lo stato di ALLARME:<BR><BR>- Distribuzione di armi cariche in certe
unità dell'Attica [dove si trova<BR>Atene] accompagnata anche dall'ordine di
usarle contro i civili se<BR>minacciate. (per esempio, una unità dell'esercito
a Menidi, vicino agli<BR>attacchi contro la stazione di polizia di
Zephiri)<BR>- Distribuzione di baionette ai soldati ad Evros [lungo la
frontiera turca]<BR>- Infondere la paura nei dimostranti spostando i plotoni
nell'area<BR>periferica dei campi<BR>dell'esercito<BR>- Spostare per
protezione i veicoli della polizia nei campi<BR>dell'esercito a
Nayplio-Tripoli-Korinthos<BR>- Il "confronto" da parte del maggiore I.
Konstantaros nel campo di<BR>addestramento per reclute di Thiva riguardo
l'identificazione di<BR>soldati con negozianti la cui proprietà è<BR>stata
danneggiata<BR>- Distribuzione di proiettili di plastica nel campo
di<BR>addestramento per reclute di Corinto e l'ordine di sparare contro i
nostri<BR>concittadini se si muovessero "minacciosamente" (nei riguardi di
chi???)<BR>- Disporre una unità speciale alla statua del "Milite ignoto"
giusto di<BR>fronte ai dimostranti sabato 13 dicembre come pure mettere in
posizione i<BR>soldati del campo di addestramento per reclute di Nayplio
contro la<BR>manifestazione dei lavoratori<BR>- Minacciare i cittadini con
Unità Operazioni Speciali dalla Germania<BR>e dall'Italia - nel ruolo di un
esercito di occupazione - rivelando<BR>così il vero volto
anti-lavoratori/autoritario della U.E.<BR><BR>La polizia che spara prendendo a
bersaglio le rivolte sociali<BR>presenti e future. E' per questo che preparano
un esercito che assuma i<BR>compiti di una forza di polizia e la società ad
accettare il ritorno<BR>all'esercito del totalitarismo riformato. Ci stanno
preparando ad opporci<BR>ai nostri amici, ai nostri conoscenti ed ai nostri
fratelli e sorelle. Ci<BR>stanno preparando ad opporci ai nostri precedenti e
futuri colleghi al<BR>lavoro ed a scuola. Questa sequenza di misure dimostra
che la leadership<BR>dell'esercito, della polizia e l'approvazione di
Hinofotis (ex membro<BR>dell'esercito professionale, attualmente vice ministro
degli interni,<BR>responsabile per "agitazioni" interne), del QG
dell'esercito, dell'intero<BR>governo, delle direttive della U.E.,
dei<BR>negozianti-come-cittadini-infuriati e dei gruppi di estrema destra
mirano<BR>ad utilizzare le forze armate come un esercito di occupazione - non
ci<BR>chiamate "corpo di pace" quando ci mandate all'estero a fare esattamente
le<BR>stesse cose? - nelle città dove siamo cresciuti, nei quartieri e
nelle<BR>strade dove abbiamo camminato. La leadership politica e militare
dimentica<BR>che siamo parte della stessa gioventù. Dimenticano che siamo
carne della<BR>carne di una gioventù che sta di fronte al deserto del reale
all'interno<BR>ed all'esterno dei campi dell'esercito. Di una gioventù che è
furibonda,<BR>non sottomessa e, ancora più importante, SENZA PAURA. SIAMO
CIVILI IN<BR>UNIFORME.<BR>Non accetteremo di diventare strumenti gratuiti
della paura che<BR>alcuni cercano di instillare nella società come uno
spaventapasseri. Non<BR>accetteremo di diventare una forza di repressione e di
terrore. Non ci<BR>opporremo al popolo con il quale dividiamo quegli stessi
timori, bisogni e<BR>desideri/lo stesso futuro comune, gli stessi pericoli e
le stesse speranze.<BR><BR>CI RIFIUTIAMO DI SCENDERE IN STRADA PER CONTO DI
QUALSIASI STATO D'ALLARME<BR>CONTRO I NOSTRI FRATELLI E SORELLE. Come gioventù
in uniforme, esprimiamo<BR>la nostra solidarietà al popolo che lotta e urliamo
che non diventeremo<BR>delle pedine dello stato di polizia e della repressione
di stato. Non ci<BR>opporremo mai al nostro popolo. Non permetteremo nei corpi
dell'esercito<BR>l'imposizione di una situazione che ricordi i "giorni del
1967" [quando<BR>l'esercito greco ha effettuato il suo ultimo colpo di

army camps state: WE REFUSE TO BECOME A<BR>FORCE OF TERROR & REPRESSION
AGAINST THE MOBILIZATIONS; WE SUPPORT THE<BR>STRUGGLE OF SCHOOL/UNIVERSITY
STUDENTS & THE WORKERS.<BR><BR>We are soldiers from all over greece [it's
necessary to not remark<BR>here that conscription is still active in greece
& affects all males<BR>greeks; most or maybe even all of the people
signing this are bound to<BR>be people who are serving their compulsory
military service at the<BR>moment - not army recruits]. Soldiers who, in
Hania, were ordered to<BR>stand against university students, workers &
fighters of the<BR>antimilitary movement carrying our guns & a short while
ago.<BR>[Soldiers] who are carrying the weight of reforms & of the
"readiness"<BR>of the greek army. [Soldiers who] live every day through
the<BR>ideological bullying of militarism, nationalism, unpaid exploitation
&<BR>of submission to "[our] superiors".<BR><BR>In the army camps [we're
serving at], we hear of another "isolated<BR>incident": the death, [caused] by
a policeman's gun, of a 15-year-old<BR>called Alexis. We hear [of] it in
slogans carrying over the camp's<BR>outer walls like a distant thunder.
Weren't the deaths of three<BR>colleagues of ours in August also called
isolated incidents? Wasn't<BR>the death of each one of the 42 soldiers who
died in the last 3.5<BR>years also called an isolated incident?<BR><BR>We hear
that Athens, Thessaloniki & an ever-increasing number of<BR>cities in
greece become fields of social unrest, fields where the<BR>outrage of
thousands of youths, workers & unemployed is played out.<BR><BR>Dressed
with army uniforms & "working attire", guarding the camp or<BR>running
errands, [being] servants of the "superiors", we still find<BR>ourselves there
[in those same fields]. We lived, as university<BR>students, workers &
desperately unemployed, the[ir] "claypots",<BR>"accidental backfirings",
"[bullet] deflections"; the desperation of<BR>precarity, of exploitation, of
lay-offs & of prosecutions.<BR><BR>We hear whispers & insinuations
from the army officials, we heard the<BR>government's threat, made public,
about the imposition of an "alarm<BR>state." We know very well what this
means. We live it through<BR>intensification [of work], increased [army]
duties, extreme conditions<BR>with one finger on the trigger.<BR><BR>Yesterday
we've been ordered to be careful & "keep our eyes open".<BR>We're asking:
WHOM DID YOU ORDER US TO BE CAREFUL OF?<BR><BR>Today, we've been ordered to be
ready & alert. We're asking? TOWARDS<BR>WHOM SHOULD WE BE
ALERT?<BR><BR>You ordered us to be ready to impose a state of ALERT:<BR><BR>•
Distribution of loaded guns in certain units in Attiki [where Athens<BR>is]
even accompanied by the order to be used against civilians if<BR>they're
threatened. (e.g. an army unit in Menidi, close to the attacks<BR>against the
police station of Zephiri.)<BR><BR>• Distribution of bayonets to soldiers in
Evros [along the turkish border]<BR><BR>• Instilling fear to protesters by
moving platoon to peripheral army camps.<BR><BR>• Moving police vehicles to
army camps in Nayplio-Tripoli-Korinthos<BR>for safekeeping.<BR><BR>• The
"dopping" by the Major I. Konstantaros in the Thiva bootcamp<BR>concering the
identification of soldiers with the storeowners whose<BR>property is being
damaged.<BR><BR>• Distribution of plastic bullets in the Korinthos bootcamp
& the<BR>order to shoot againts our fellow citizens if they move
in<BR>"threateningly" (with respect to whom???)<BR><BR>• Positioning a special
unit at the "Unknown Soldier" [statue] right<BR>across from the demonstrators
on Saturday, December 13, as well as<BR>[positioning] the soldiers of the
Nayplio bootcamp against the<BR>pan-workers demo.<BR><BR>• Threatening [the
citizens] with Special Operations Units from<BR>Germany & Italy - in the
role of an Occupation Army - thus revealing<BR>E.U.'s real,
anti-workers/authoritarian face.<BR><BR>Police shoots targeting the present
& future of social revolts. That's<BR>why they're preparing the army tot
assume the duties of a police force<BR>& the society to accept the return
to the army of the Reformers'<BR>Totalitarianism. They're preparing us to
stand against our friends,<BR>out acquaintances & our brothers &
sisters. They're preparing us to<BR>stand against our former & future
colleagues at work & in school.<BR><BR>This sequence of measures shows
that the leadership of the army-the<BR>police & the consent of Hinofotis
(former member of the professional<BR>army, currently vice minster of the
Interior, responsible for interior<BR>"unrest"), of the General HQ of the
Army, of the entire government, of<BR>the E.U. directives, of the
store-owners-as-infuriated-citizens & of<BR>the far-right-wing groups aim
at utilizing the Armed Forces as an<BR>Occupation Army - aren't you calling us
"peace corps" when you send us<BR>abroad to do the exact same things? - in the
cities where we grew up,<BR>in the neighborhoods & the roads where we
walked.<BR><BR>The political & military leadership forgets that we're part
of that<BR>same youth. THhey forget that we're flesh from the flesh of a
youth<BR>which is confronted with the desert of the real inside & outside
army<BR>camps. Of a youth that's outraged, not subserviant; &
most<BR>importantly, FEARLESS.<BR><BR>WE'RE UNIFORMED CIVILIANS.<BR><BR>We
won't accept becoming complimentary tools of fear which some<BR>attempt to
instill over society as a scarecrow.<BR>We won't accept becoming a force of
repression & terror.<BR>We won't stand against people whom we share that
same fears, needs &<BR>desires/[the same] common future, perils &
hopes with.<BR><BR>WE REFUSE TO TAKE TO THE STREETS ON BEHALF OF ANY STATE OF
ALERT<BR>AGAINST OUR BROTHERS & SISTERS.<BR><BR>As a youth in uniform, we
express our solidarity with the people<BR>who're fighting & we scream that
we won't become pawns of the<BR>police-state & of state repression. We'll
never stand against our own<BR>people. We won't allow the imposition of a
